



Adichunchanagiri ashrama, Bellur is about 96 kms from Bangalore and we can get lot of buses from KSRTC bus stand Bangalore or else we can catch the buses which are going to Mangalore, Hassan, and Chikmagalore and get down near Bellur cross. From Bellur cross we can get autos, KSRTC buses and other means of transportation. It is about 6 kms from Bellur cross to Adichunchanagiri ashrama. While going to ashram we can enjoy the beauty of tender coconut tress along road side.
Pushkarani of mutt welcomes you at the entrance of ashram. The very entrance of ashram with two daemons welcomes you to Kalabiraveshwara Temple. The door of temple is about more than 20 feet and it is made with a single piece of wood, it is really good to see. It is a temple over 100 years old with a historical background. Now it is renovated by Sri Balagangadhara Swamiji.
Kalabiraveshwara temple is surrounded by more than 100 avatar’s (forms) of Lord Shiva and the most faithful and loyal animal in world, Dog in front of God. This is the specialty of this temple and one have to see the craving of that dog. It is such a beautiful. The big Ganesha statue at the right side of Kalabiraveshwara attracts devotees and towards left we can see Stambabika Devi temple and the belief of this god is, those who are not blessed with children, those who got their marriages delay can pray to this god and all issues will sorted out by this god.
The full stone temple of Kalabiraveshwara attracts devotees by its sculptural spirit and it architecture. After doing all pooja’a we can have ragi muddey with veg and non veg sambar which will prepare by devotees around temple. After having a good lunch we can take rest under big big trees of ashram and we can enjoy the tender coconut trees shadow and no one wants to come out from ashram to busy life of Bangalore.
