online.jpgOnline advertising is a form of promoting business and spreading information through online media using the Internet and World Wide Web. Online advertising helps in marketing to the potential users and helps to know about particular things completely.

The major thing in online marketing is to keep tract of negative keywords. Negative keywords are a core component of a successful keyword list. Adding negative keywords to your ads means that your ads will not show for a particular search queries containing your keyword.

Eg: Suppose a physiology doctor in INDIA specialized in treating physic patients with good results. Google adwords campaign had an ad group with these phrases,

Physicology Doctor in INDIA

Physicology Doctor

Treating physic patients

Using at least one keyword research tool will reveal many keywords phrases that are searched on the contain the phrases “Physicology Doctor in INDIA” or “Physicology Doctor” or “Treating physic patients” but are clearly not related to “physicology magazines” or “physicology students”.

Adding “-magazines” to the adwords ad groups will prevent the ad form appearing for that particular search phrases.

Eg: -magazine

-students

Only place one negative keywords per line. Precede each keyword with a dash. The preceding “-“ indicates to the Google adwords system that the keyword to follow is a negative keyword. If any of the negative keywords are in a search phrase, the ad will not appear next to the search results.
